Part Time Laborer

Job Title: Part Time Laborer
Location: Parks Department
Salary: $10.00 per hour
Start Date: Immediate

The Tinley Park–Park District is seeking a Part Time Laborer with demonstrated skills in general park maintenance duties. A maintained clean, valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • General Park Maintenance & Site Clean-Up
  • Athletic Field Maintenance
  • Snow Removal
  • Custodial Maintenance
  • Routine Tasks & Projects

Part Time hours for this position:

  • Require weekend work on Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00am – 12:00pm
  • Weekday Winter hours range 10-25 hours/week (in addition to the required 10 weekend hours)
  • Weekday Summer hours  average 30 hours/week (in addition to the required 5 weekend hours)
  • Scheduled hours are based on workload

The qualified individual should be well motivated, and possess good decision making and leadership skills. Must be willing to work in various weather conditions. Basic knowledge of hand tools and small machinery is a plus. Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening. This position is IMRF Qualified.

Child Care Attendant
Part Time

Job Title: Child Care Attendant - Part Time
Location: Tinley Fitness
Start Date: Immediate
Closing Date: Open until filled

Tinley Fitness, a facility of The Tinley Park–Park District, is looking to hire Part Time Child Care Attendants, approximately 8 to 12 hours per week.

Morning Hours: 8:00am – 12:00pm

Afternoon Hours: 4:00pm – 8:00pm

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Caring of children dropped off in the child care room by facility members who are participating in facility activities
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment for child care

The qualified individual should be able to communicate effectively with adults as well as children of all ages.  One year experience in a child care environment preferred.  Current CPR certification required. All applicants need to be 18 or older.
