Part Time Laborer

Job Title: Part Time Laborer
Location: Parks Department
Salary: $9.00 per hour
Closing Date: Open until position is filled

The Tinley Park-Park District is seeking a Part Time Laborer with demonstrated skills in general park maintenance duties. A maintained clean, valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Athletic Field Maintenance
  • Snow Removal
  • General Park Maintenance and Site Clean-Up
  • Routine Tasks and Projects

Part Time hours for this position:

  • Require weekend work on Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
  • Weekday Winter hours range from 10-25 hours/week (in addition to the required weekend hours)
  • Weekday Summer hours average 30 hours/week (in addition to the required weekend hours)
  • Scheduled hours are based on workload

The qualified individual should be well motivated and possess good decision making and leadership skills. Must be willing to work in various weather conditions. Basic knowledge of hand tools and small machinery is a plus. Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening. This position is IMRF Qualified.

Personal Trainer

Job Title: Personal Trainer
Location: Tinley Fitness (8125 W. 171st Street)
Closing Date: Open until filled

Under the direction and supervision of the Fitness Center Manager, the Personal Trainer shall be responsible for organizing his/her own program designs within the client’s scope of ability and goals, utilizing the proper technique, appropriate exercises, and the correct equipment.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Certified Personal Trainer and/or hold a current certification in the field of health and fitness.
  • Must have a flexible schedule with a variety of availability for morning, evening and weekend clients.
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required.
Additionally:

  • Auditions for classes/clients will be required for evaluation of skills prior to employment.
  • Instructor subbing opportunities available as well as the opportunities to build Training Classes.
