Freedom Park

Adjacent to the Tinley Park Library, Freedom Park encompasses 15 acres of land and features a state-of-the-art synthetic football/soccer field, a regulation baseball field, softball field, concession building with announcer’s booth, 6,000 square foot interactive children’s playground, fully accessible parking and wetland area. The park opened in 2007 and is named in honor of our nation’s freedom.

Park District facilities with outdoor lighting may extend hours of use depending on use, need, and season.

Protect the Parks

The District takes great pride in providing safe, clean outdoor amenities for residents and visitors and our staff works hard to maintain the premises. If you see something unusual happening at a park, please notify us at 708-342-4200 or the Tinley Park Police Department at 708-532-9111. For information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons performing acts of vandalism or destruction within any park, there is a reward up to $500.
