Pool Rules for Health and Safety

Admission to the pool shall be refused to all persons having any contagious disease, infectious conditions such as colds, fever, ringworm, foot infections, skin lesions, diarrhea, vomiting, inflamed eyes, ear discharges, or any other condition which has the appearance of being infectious. Persons with excessive sunburn, abrasions which have not healed, adhesive tape, or bandages of any kind are not permitted in the water.
- An adult over the age of 18 must accompany children 10 years of age and under at all times. No child under the age of 11 is allowed to be in the Water Park without adult supervision.
- No alcohol is allowed in the Water Park. A person under the influence of alcohol or exhibiting erratic behavior shall not be permitted in the pool area.
- Cigarettes and other forms of tobacco are prohibited.
- Gum is not allowed in the Water Park.
- All persons are encouraged to take a shower before entering the pool area.
- Personal conduct within the pool facility must be such that safety is not jeopardized. This is a zero tolerance facility. Inappropriate behavior including but not limited to running, boisterous or rough play, smoking, swearing or acts of intimidation will be not permitted. The Water Park staff has the authority to contact the Tinley Park Police to enforce all rules and laws.
- Only clean footwear, baby strollers, or wheelchairs are allowed in the pool area or bathhouse. Water shoes are allowed in the spray ground.
- Personal floatation devices (Life vests) are not allowed on the slides. You must ride our approved tube on the water tube slide. Personal floatation devices worn in the pool must be Coast Guard approved and be worn properly. Coast Guard approved life vests are available inside the park free of charge when you leave your drivers license for collateral. Water wings are not allowed in the water park.
- Non-Swimmers and those wearing life vests must have a chaperone 18 years or older within arms reach at all times.
- Patrons with special needs should make their needs known to pool staff.
- Do not bring valuables into the Water Park. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Only swimsuits may be worn in the pool, lazy river and spray ground. Cut offs, street clothes including leotards, unlined basketball type shorts and under garments are not permitted in the pool. No refunds will be given for inappropriate attire.
- All children who are not toilet-trained are required to wear a swim diaper. Swim diapers may be purchased inside the park. This rule will be strictly enforced. In addition to swim diapers, we recommend tight fitting rubber pants to be worn over the swim diaper. Swim diapers are required for all bodies of water including the spray ground.
- All people entering the facility must pay an entrance fee.
- Diving in shallow water less than five feet deep is not permitted. Caution shall be exercised in the use of the diving facilities.
- Swimming is prohibited at outdoor swimming pools when lightning is present, including a 15-minute period after the last lightning observed.
- No one should swim alone.
- The pool management has the authority to implement and enforce rules that are more stringent or that supplement those listed here. Persons violating regulations will be subject to eviction from the park without a refund.
- The Water Park will be closed at the sole discretion of the Pool Manager in the case of rain, lightening, or any unsafe condition. The pool may re-open when the danger has passed.
- Food, lunches, snacks and coolers may not be brought into the park. Sealed plastic water bottles may be brought in if the seal has not been broken. Patrons attempting to enter the pool with outside food or drink will be required to return these items to their vehicle prior to entering the park. Bags, purses, diaper bags and/or large containers may be searched. Glass of any type including baby food containers are not allowed in the water park for your safety and the safety of others.
- Full size lockers are available in the locker rooms. Patron must bring their own lock to secure their belongings. Locks must be removed each day as locks that are on lockers after the park has closed are cut off. Smaller quarter operated coin lockers for wallets and small items are available inside the park.
- Daily hours may be adjusted and/or sections of the facility closed due to air temperatures, inclement weather, attendance or staffing.
- Parents or guardians are held responsible for supervising their children. When present, Lifeguards are on duty only to enforce rules and to respond in emergency situations.
- You must be 42" or taller to ride the body and tube water slides. You must be 42" or taller and know how to swim in order to ride the drop slide or dive from the diving board. Life vests are not allowed on the water slides or diving board.
- Tubes are provided for your use on the tube slides. Single tubes are for single riders and double tubes are for two riders. Life vests are not allowed on the water slides.
- The water in the pools and spray ground is not suitable for drinking. Avoid swallowing this water including the water spraying from the spray ground apparatus.
- All state and local health laws apply
- The Tinley Park-Park District reserves the right to add rules as deemed necessary.
