Bicentennial Park

In 1976, Bicentennial Park was named in honor of the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Enjoy a tranquil walk along one of Tinley Park’s beautiful natural areas. The 17.5-acre Bicentennial Park was acquired by the park district in 1976 and includes a playground, boardwalk, pathways and scenic natural wetland area.

The District takes great pride in providing safe, clean outdoor amenities for residents and visitors and our staff works hard to maintain the premises. If you see something unusual happening at a park, please notify us at 708-342-4200 or the Tinley Park Police Department at 708-532-9111. For information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons performing acts of vandalism or destruction within any park, there is a reward up to $500.
