You can also review the plans for the park here.
The Park District obtained a 50% matching OSLAD (Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development) Grant from the IDNR (Illinois Department of Natural Resource) with the development cost of the renovation of the property.
The park renovation includes a new playground, walking path, basketball court, volleyball court, pickleball court, soccer/lacrosse field and softball field. The plan includes some excavation to improve the field condition of both the softball and soccer/lacrosse fields. As street parking is an issue, we are increasing the parking to approximately 48 spots from the existing 34.
At St. Boniface Park you can enjoy a game of basketball, soccer or baseball. The park was acquired by the park district in 1974 and encompasses 6 acres of land and includes a children’s playground.
