Park Improvements

The Park District was recently awarded an OSLAD (Open Space Land Acquisition and Development) Grant from IDNR (Illinois Department of Natural Resource) for $311,500 to help re-develop Buedingen Park.   The site plan below was created after public, staff, and board meetings within the past 2 years.  We are requesting public input to help choose a playground, color schemes, and other items associated with the park by completing a survey.   The survey link is below the site plan, and selections can be made between 8 PM on April 11th thru 8 PM on April 18th.  Should you have any questions, please contact Shawn Roby or Ryan Veldman at 708-342-4200.

Kids Around the World, a non-profit organization that repurposes and re-installs playground equipment in countries all over the world, will remove the playground at Buedingen Park in early April, kicking off the Buedingen Park Improvement Project. Hacienda Landscaping, which was awarded the project, will also begin the improvement work in early April, with the park re-opening this fall of 2024.
