Park Operation Planning
The current planning for operating White Water Canyon Water Park is based on the 2020 guidelines from IDPH, CDC, Cook County Public Health and DCEO. We do anticipate the issuance of updated guidelines prior to our opening on June 5, 2021. As has been the case since last March, there may be many updates and changes throughout our planning.
For now, we know the following at this time:
- The facility can operate at 50% of standard capacity.
- Multiple groups of 50 guests are allowed as long as they are separated by 30 feet between each group.
- When guests are not in the water, masks need to be worn at all times in the facility.
- Our concession stand can open under DECO guidelines for bars/restaurants.
- Shared “equipment,” such as rafts, tubes, lounge chairs, etc., needs to be sanitized after use.
As always, we want to provide a fun and safe environment for all our guests at White Water Canyon Water Park. Our plans will be adapted as new guidelines come from the governing agencies and we will keep the public informed. As has been the case since last March, there may be many updates and changes throughout our planning. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work to make this a great swimming season!
