Mature Adult Programs

The Tinley Park-Park District offers a diversified recreational program for mature adults age 55 and over. Members of our Senior Drop-In Center are invited to participate in many interesting activities. Some of these activities include bingo, playing cards, luncheons, workshops and special events. For the enjoyment of mature adults, the Drop-In Center is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (except legal holidays). Whether meeting new friends, playing cards, talking over old times or participating in many interesting and fun-filled activities, all mature adults are encouraged to join in. Please note: Participants at the Drop-In should be self-maintained, as no medical services are available on site.

In addition to our Senior Drop-In Center, there are many activities listed in our brochure sections for Adults, Crafts, Health and Fitness, Special Events, Trips, Vogt Visual Arts Center and Workshops that may also be of interest to our mature adults.

The STARS Drop-In Center

The STARS Drop-in Center program has a membership fee that enables members to participate in activities. The membership fee is $16 per year for in-district participants or $21 per year for out-of-district participants. The membership runs from March 1 to February 28, and the fee is due annually in March. The daily drop-in fee of $5 is for non-members who want to check out the STARS or a member’s guest for the day. Guests must present their receipt to the Senior Coordinator upon entry.
