Resident ID Required
The FREE Resident ID Card is required for children under age 16 for daily admission. To ensure residency privileges are not abused, all patrons paying for a daily visit to the Water Park or Recreation Center must prove their residency within the Tinley Park-Park District boundaries to receive the discounted resident rate. Children show this card at the Water Park gate or Recreation Center front desk and pay the resident’s daily fee. Report cards and school IDs do not prove residency. Those aged 16 and older use their Driver’s License for identification.
A parent must accompany their child(ren) age 15 and younger to the Recreation Center front desk to obtain the Resident ID Card.
PLEASE NOTE:Â Village/Corporate rates refer to those living within the boundaries of the Village of Tinley Park but outside the boundaries of the Tinley Park-Park District. Proof of residency and/or employment (current check stub) is required.
Indoor Playground
Our indoor playground is open to Tinley Park Residents Monday through Friday from 10 am-4 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am- 3 pm.

- For the well-being of others, please refrain from having your ill child play on the equipment
- All open cuts or scrapes must be covered with a bandage
- Please monitor your child when using the restroom

Rental Facilities
The Park District offers many rooms to host your next gathering. Rooms can accommodate your special birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement party, family reunions, bridal and baby showers or corporate events. Rental requests should be made a minimum of 30 days in advance and can be booked a maximum of 4 months before your event. Full-service kitchen facilities are available with several of the room rentals. Rates begin as low as $50 per hour and will vary depending upon your room selection. Stop at the front desk of the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center for room details and pricing.
Participant Behavior Code
The Tinley Park-Park District has an established behavior policy relative to inappropriate behavior. Inappropriate behavior is defined as that which disrupts a recreation program/activity or participant facility usage and requires staff to call a stop to the behavior due to its effect on other participants or the ability for staff conduct the program/activity. A tiered approach for consequences congruent with unacceptable behaviors will be used. However, certain behaviors or repeated offences may call for immediate and or/permanent dismissal of the individual from the program/facility. Specific rules may be developed for individual programs/activities/facilities as deemed necessary by staff.
The District reserves the right to dismiss without refund any participant or spectator who violates the behavior management policy. In addition, if it is believed that such actions pose a threat to the general safety or welfare of other participants, the individual or group may risk expulsion from District properties and/or facilities.
This Behavior Management Policy is supplemental and in addition to the District Code, neither of which shall be interpreted to be mutually exclusive. In the event of a conflict between the Behavior Management Policy and the District Code, the more specific provision shall apply.
Appeal
Participants have the right to appeal a suspension or expulsion from a program. Suspension appeals should go to the Superintendent/Manager of the Department issuing the suspension. Decisions after review of an appeal are final and may not be appealed further.
Membership
Residents of Tinley Park-Park District can purchase an annual pass to the Bettenhausen Recreation Center, which includes unlimited use of the indoor walking track and basketball courts. Memberships are effective for one year from the date of purchase.
