The Tinley Park-Park District is planning improvements to Centanni Park, located at 84th Avenue and Queen Victoria Lane, and Memorial Park, located at 6600 W. 171st Street. The district is seeking resident input on the selection of playground equipment.
Plans have been developed to remove the existing playground and install new playground equipment. Members of the community are invited to attend a meeting on Tuesday, July 21 at the Bettenhausen Recn Center to discuss the proposals. Plans for Memorial Park will be discussed at 7:00 p.m., followed by a discussion on plans for Centanni Park at 8:00 p.m. Drawings will be on display showing two playground designs for each park. Residents will be asked to vote for one design. The meetings will last 30 to 45 minutes, and time will be allowed for questions from the audience.
Residents are encouraged to attend these meetings to provide valuable input on improvements to the community parks. Residents are also asked to invite neighbors to attend the meetings as well. Anyone with questions should contact the park district at 342-4200.
