Unplug from Technology and Plug Into FUN
Unplug Illinois, a program of the Illinois Park & Recreation Association, helps you unplug from technology and plug into activity, adventure, creativity, family and nature. Unplugging has been shown to help improve your quality of life, help you feel more recharged every day, help you sleep better, and improve your interpersonal communication skills.
Will it be swimming at White Water Canyon, miniature golf at Tinley Junction Mini-Golf and Batting Cages, biking, walking, picnics, playgrounds…or maybe just relaxing and unwinding? Whatever your preference, Tinley Park-Park District is your place to leave technology behind and Plug into FUN!
In 2022, the Park District is proud to have Republic Bank as our Unplug sponsor!
In addition to the July 9 Unplug Illinois Day Chalk the Walk, plug into these activities:
- Grab the Unplug Activity Guide filled with games, coloring pages, ideas for unplugging and more! The Guide is available at the Recreation Center front desk on July 1. You can download the guide here!
- The first 50 families that pick up the Unplug Activity Guide receive a disposable camera. Use it to capture all your summer adventures! When you return your cameras to the Bettenhausen Recreation Center, we’ll develop the pictures and send digital copies to the family. We will also share photos on this page, social media and in future advertising for the Park District. You will also be entered into the Unplugged Raffle.
