Park Improvements Planning
April 11, 2023
The Park District was recently awarded an OSLAD (Open Space Land Acquisition and Development) Grant from IDNR (Illinois Department of Natural Resource) for $311,500 to help re-develop Buedingen Park. The site plan below was created after public, staff, and board meetings within the past 2 years. We are requesting public input to help choose a playground, color schemes, and other items associated with the park by completing a survey. The survey link is below the site plan, and selections can be made between 8 PM on April 11th thru 8 PM on April 18th. Should you have any questions, please contact Shawn Roby or Ryan Veldman at 708-342-4200.

Original Draft Site Plan
You’ll be spending a full day at this lovely park whether it’s enjoying a picnic lunch under the pavilion or a game of basketball or just a tranquil walk along the pathways. Acquired by the park district in 1987, Buedingen Park is 5.6 acres in size and named after Tinley Park’s sister city in Germany.
The District takes great pride in providing safe, clean outdoor amenities for residents and visitors and our staff works hard to maintain the premises. If you see something unusual happening at a park, please notify us at 708-342-4200 or the Tinley Park Police Department at 708-532-9111.
